Christmas in San Antonio - Day 4

This is the look of a kid who is thinking...
"REALLY?  AM I REALLY BACK IN THIS SEAT?

We left Lubbock Saturday morning around 8 and we headed to San Antonio!
Today was only a 6 hour day...much better than 15 hours.
Jackson did a great job...AGAIN!
He slept most of the time and played the rest.
What a great baby we have.
We got to San Antonio and Jackson FINALLY MET David!
Mom and David were the only two home.
They were SOO excited to see little Jackson...
and I think they were excited to see us too!

We put Jackson RIGHT on the floor and he crawled ALL over the place.
They couldn't believe how much he had grown since the last time they saw him.

THEN...we quickly got changed and headed BACK out the door.
The Hillman Family was WAITING for us at the Church Bookstore.
YAY!  Cousins!  We love Cousins.
It was so fun to see the Hillman's RIGHT away.
Jackson had a great time showing off his crawling skills...for sure.
That night we ventured out to the Hillman Extended Family Christmas Party.
What an adventure that was.  There were SOO many people there.
Jackson got passed around and didn't mind one bit.
I made sure to dress him up all festive like.
Elizabeth WAS so excited that we came.
In the middle of the party Santa Claus came.
The kids were so excited!
He even had a gift with Jackson's name on it.
He got his very first football!
I guess we were in Texas and that is only fitting.
Elizabeth made sure to get her turn on Santa's lap!
(Good thing it was her husband under that Santa suit!)
After Santa gave out all the gifts to the kids, the adults had a White Elephant Gift Exchange.
My gift was the BEST...It was this wonderful orange headband with ORANGE hair connected to it.  The best part of it all was James' Dad picked it!
He wore it as a beard.
He was pretty upset when someone stole it from him.
It was pretty amazing...but Elizabeth actually put Jackson to sleep during aL of the CHAOS.  And believe me...it was LOUD and CHAOTIC...but WAY FUN!

I am glad we were able to come and hang out with everyone.
The Hillman Clan is a great family.
So glad that my sister married into it.
By the time we got home, JACKSON was awake.
Which is fine...because Gramma wanted to hang out with him more and so did Dja-Dja, he got home from work just when we got back from the party.

At one point we looked up and Jackson was chewing on the chair.
I thought it looked absolutely HILARIOUS!
He even held on...with his hands...not his teeth...when we pulled the chair around.
he must really love that chair.

It was a great first day in San Antonio, Texas!

We have many more to come.
It is great to be HOME!
