Update from January 2012

Our little guy is starting to move a WHOLE LOT MORE!

Based on these pictures....

Can you tell that I am going to be a BIT busier keeping track of my little guy!

He really is into EVERYTHING!

 

But, man I sure love him!!!

Carter's One Year Birthday Bash

January 28th was a pretty BUSY day!

We started out the day by going to the Stake's Pine Wood Derby.

We were there long enough to get a picture of Jackson driving this awesome car.

Then we headed over to Carter's Backyard First Birthday Bash.

All the kids got a hankerchief.

We made sure to have Jackson in overalls to fit theme.

He just loves being with other kids.

There were balloons and Jackson loved them.

Friday night I helped Britney make some awesome cupcakes.

I think the pigs are the CUTEST!

Look at Carter over there in the high chair.

He was all about his chocolate cake.

Just a little cowboy and his tractor.

Perfect.

After the party we went with Britney and her family to feed their horses.

It was a bit cold outside, but Jackson loved seeing those horses.

The party was awesome.  Britney did such a great job putting it all together and I was so happy I was able to help her a little bit.  Carter looked like he had a great time at his birthday party.

Laundry Basket Fun

I was working on the laundry and the empty basket was lingering behind in the TV room just waiting for Jackson to find it and play with it...

 HE DID JUST THAT!

He thought it was the best thing EVER!

 Why buy toys when you have laundry baskets???

 Look at this little goof!!!!!

LOVE HIM!

He is so proud of himself for finding a new toy!

7 Months

(Update from January 20th)

We have a 7 Month Old!!!

Man it has been sooo fun to watch this little one grow!

 This month he has gotten SOOOO mobile.

He has been crawling for two months now and now he can pull himself up into a standing position and walk along things.  He is really funny though.  He doesn't quite know how to get down after he has gotten into the standing position.  He will just stand there until he starts doing the splits and THEN he starts to cry until we help him out.

He is learning quite fast though.

 He loves this new way of getting around.

He also LOVES getting into anything he can reach.

We have had to block off a lot of things.

His menu of foods he is eating is growing.

He has had graham crackers for the first time and he is about to get out of the PUREEs I have made him.  He is ready for more solid foods.

 He has loved EXPLORING the house!

He just finds so many things to play with.

 We have now had to block him into one room.

We use one of our benches from our dining room table to keep him in the TV room.

 He is a pro at feeding himself the bottle.

 And by golly...HIS PERSONALITY is starting to SHINE through.

He is such a goof!

In this picture both of his legs are in one side of his PJs and his other leg is just hanging out under his body.  It was really funny looking.

 Again...he just loves moving around and getting into things.

It is our new life...watching a very MOBILE baby!

 He absolutely loves eating food.

He doesn't quite know what to do with a spoon...

My favorite eating moment was when he put the spoon into his mouth empty and it came out with food on it.  That was AWESOME!

Here is our precious 7 month old baby!

He is so precious.

Since we are looking at a sleeping pic of him, might as well talk about his sleeping patterns...he still is not sleeping through the night, but we are getting longer stretches in.

The vacation to San Antonio kinda made it a bit hard for him to get into a schedule.

Hopefully being home now, he will be able to sleep longer.

But, my goodness...I just miss him so much when he is sleeping.

I KNOW he needs his sleep and I am so happy when he is sleeping, but I miss him!

He just brings sooo much joy into my life.

I love him sooo much.

Here's to another month!

Sippy Cup and New Chair

 Gramma gave Jackson a new sippy cup!

Jackson feels like such a big boy!

 AND now he even feels like MORE of a big boy!!

He got himself a new chair.

We love this chair.

We really want him to start feeding himself.

HE LOVES IT!

He doesn't know what to do with a spoon as far as feeding himself goes...

which I don't expect him to know that, but he loves chewing on the spoon after I have fed him his meal.  He just sticks that spoon in and out of his mouth.

I can't believe my little baby Jackson is growing up soooo fast!!
