Magic Show inspired by my dad who got his inspiration from Art Metrano...

Growing up, my dad use to perform this Magic Show all of the time!  Us kids....we LOVED it and have since started performing it for various audiences around the United States!  This time it was in front of the town of Ashton, ID!  It was the night of Mr. North Fremont (a "beauty" pageant for the Senior guys to raise money for their Senior Lock-In after graduation).  I received a call Tuesday evening asking me to fill in for a performance that had canceled on them.  They knew that only gave me one day to put something together, but I made sure to let them know NOT TO WORRY, I had the perfect thing.  A MAGIC SHOW!  I made sure to call my dad before the big performance to let him know what I was doing.  He was just so proud!  We discussed some acts that he has added and then my friends and I added a few more tricks before I hit the stage!  As you will notice in the video, I always considered this to be a POLISH MAGIC SHOW!  My dad was not sure where us kids got that from, but I am pretty sure it is because my dad always did it and he is polish!  But alas, it is from Art Metrano!  Well, we have wooed another audience!

BEFORE

AFTER: a lot of hard work.

We worked very hard and we love the way it turned out. We refinished the floors and painted them a Turkish Brown. We also added an extra piece to the floor molding. We also installed a new fan and new light.Thanks to Andrew Schauerhamer for his help with the demolition. Thanks to Dad Walker for all the help with the floors and the trim. Thanks Mom Walker for the bookshelf and rug and helping us pick out the vases. Thanks to Margie for putting up with the mess for the past month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMBALINE

Andrew's Mom turned 50 and we had a big party for her. They rented out this cool game/media room and we had a blast.

Mom made sure to have plenty of great food and drink.

We all got her great gifts!

And she loved ours the best! (Well maybe not the best but she loved it)

Everybody was there even Andrew's cousin Aaron. So good to meet him. People had fun playing video games. This machine had all the old classics. Awesome!!

Carson and Dave came up from Orem.

Andrew killed everyone at Ping Pong except his brother Mike who schooled him.

Margie and Kate tore it up at American Idol Karaoke.

Even J got involved.

We played pool, ate good food and enjoyed good company.

Margie had a lot of beginners luck with pool.

Our Thursday at Sun Valley

For dinner that night we went down to the patio area for a BBQ!

When we came back the Room Service gave us these chocolates! YUM!

Our Friday night entertainment consisted of an African Drum Jam and Dance. There were drums in a circle and these guys taught us the rhythm and then after awhile they taught us the dance moves.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!

At the restaurant they had CHOCOLATE FONDUE!

We had them pack it up for us!

Before she went to go get the food, she asked us if we wanted to share a bottle of champagne.

We let her know we don't drink and she understood.

After a bit, Andrew said, "Do you have Sparkling Cider?"

She did and she gave us a FREE bottle!

ROCK ON!

We were able to enjoy Chocolate Fondue and Sparkling Cider in front of our FIREPLACE!

SUN VALLEY RESORT

Margie was sent to a conference in Sun Valley for school. Andrew was allowed to go with her to enjoy nice resort living. We headed off on our adventure and had a choice to make when we reached Arco, We could go north through the National forest or go south through Craters of the Moon National Monument. We chose to go north.

The pavement ended and we found some really pretty areas. We've been on dirt roads before so we weren't too scared.

After a while the road started to look a bit iffy. We forged ahead but Margie was getting a bit worried.

OH NO!!
15 miles from our destination we came up to these two horrible signs. We had to turn around adding almost two hours and 90 miles to our trip. Needless to say we were more than bummed. To be 20 minutes away and have to backtrack!! Sure wish there was a sign at the bottom off the mountain that told us the road was closed.

So we headed back and found more pretty views. This lake was interesting. Half of the lake was solid ice and the other half was melted.

We passed through Craters of the Moon National Monument. It really did look like the Moons surface. Pretty cool.

At a gas station Andrew realized our car was a bit dirty from our "off road" adventure and cleaned off the license plate with the squeegee. Our poor car goes through so much with us. We sure do love it though!

Ahhhhh!!! We finally arrived and the Resort is even nicer than the website showed it. Sun Valley is like a much nicer, posher, Jackson Hole. This place is amazing. We sure didn't mind the delayed trip when we arrived to find out our room had been upgraded to a Jr. Suite. This is the nicest Hotel we've ever stayed in. I mean our room has a balcony and a fireplace. Yes that is our balcony you see through the trees on the right. So nice.(We ate lunch out there today!!)

There's even a walk in closet.

They even provide complementary postcards, letterhead and envelopes.

Maybe we'll have lunch out here today. It will be 65 degrees.

For dinner we walked over to the lodge and ate at Gretchen's. Oh my goodness!! It was so good. They started us off with the most amazing rolls ever.

Andrew ate some fancy Italian dish that neither of us could pronounce but it was a fried bread filled with ham and cheese and some amazing sauce and topped with an egg.

Margie had a great grilled brie and fuji apple sandwich on a freshly made roll paired with a zesty citrus salad.

This is a welcome "Vacation". Margie has worked so hard lately and this conference will be nice. During the day Andrew will be hanging out in the hotel room watching HGTV and missing Margie while she goes to exciting workshops to learn about dealing with bullies, drugs and other things that will make her an even better teacher (if that's even possible).
