Yay! Jackson meets the Chapman Family

Ok, when I was unpacking from Andrew and I coming back from Arkansas I realized that we had WAY too much stuff that we DID NOT NEED!  

We decided on Thursday to have a Yard Sale LAST MINUTE on Saturday.

We already had a ton of stuff in our garage that we were ready to sale and I found WAY more stuff as I was organizing the house to put stuff away from coming back.

The sale was a SUCCESS!

We made over 100 dollars on the junk we didn't want anymore!

While doing the sale, the CHAPMAN'S made their way up to Ashton.

They finally got to meet JACKSON!

 All of them were excited to meet our little man, but I think Kristi was the MOST excited.

 Ah!  Jackson was a bit tired.  He didn't really know what to think of all this attention.

We were so happy that the Chapman family was able to come up and visit with us.

We just LOVE that family so much.

What I loved about this outfit though, was that he is wearing a SIX MONTH onesie with NEWBORN pants.  Both of which fit him perfectly.  The sizing for kids clothes is all messed up!

 But, my goodness...sure do love him in everything that he wears!

 Don't worry everyone THE CAR WAS NOT EVEN ON!

Daddy just wanted to teach Jackson to drive a little bit earlier than usual!

We have been having fun being back in Ashton and introducing to Jackson to all of our friends up here in Idaho.  It is crazy how big he is getting so fast.  I never thought he would EVER fit into clothes bigger than newborn sizes, and I have since then packed away his newborn clothes...and don't worry, when I did pack away his little newborn onesies I shed a tear or two!

Friday, August the 17th we had a Minute to Win It Party!  Morgan was kind enough to wait until we got back in town to have this party.  I am so glad she did, because it was a blast!

Morgan decided to do a salad bar.  It was perfect. Light and delicious!

Why do we not do more salad bars at more parties.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

For those who have never seen Minute to Win It, I'll just tell you that it's just people doing silly tasks using everyday items within a minute's time. Which equals hilarious! Andrew Schauerhamer found a great minute countdown on YouTube and so that made the Minute that much more intense.

We divided up into three teams and then each person on the team did two of the games. 

Jackson got to join us for the party.  He was such a good little boy.

He even slept through most of the party.

GOOD JOB!

The first task was Breakfast Scrambler.

Morgan cut up boxes and we had to put them together, like  a puzzle.

I represented our team and it was much harder than what I thought it was going to be.  Needless to say, I would've lost a life on the game show. 

The next game was Dizzy Mummy

Each person had to unroll a roll of toilet paper by mummifying themselves by making 360 degree turns with their body.

It was pretty fun watching them run around in circles!

The third game was Face the Cookie

Andrew got to do this one. They had to have a cookie placed on their forehead and maneuver it using their face muscles so that it made it into our mouths. Funny to watch and even more funny to do!

 

Luckily, Andrew and I had just seem this one done on the actual show and so Andrew ROCKED it!

The 4th game was Penny Hose.

This is where there are two pennies, one at the end of each leg of a pair of pantyhose. They have to retrieve the pennies without using the other hand or anything else.  I am pretty sure I would NOT have done very well at this one!

The Fifth game: Nose Dive

I got to do this one, and I was glad I did!  It was pretty fun! We had to put Vaseline on the tip of our nose and use it to transfer cotton balls from one plate to the other

It was fun to shake my head like a crazy person to get that dang cotton balls off of my nose!

 

The Sixth game: Keep It Up

This one was AWESOME!   They had to keep a feather in the air for a minute.

 It got PRETTY crazy!  They got pretty into it and Andrew S. was all over the room, even out of the room and in the last second his feather went behind the table and he had to try and dive to keep it up. He failed... Oh well..

 

The Seventh Game: A Bit Dicey

Using a knife clenched between your teeth you have to stack dice on the tip.  Andrew did this one for our team.  He said it was quite easy. He finished it in a few seconds!

The Eighth Game: A Jimmy Fallon Game

This one isn't technically a Minute to Win it game but Rachel Erickson who helped out with the party thought it would be fun to try. With their hands tied to a stick behind their back they have to pour water from one bottle into a jar on the ground.

We had such a GREAT time at this party.  It is GREAT to be back in Ashton and I am still just so happy that they waited for us to be back in Ashton to have this party.

Back in Idaho -- Meeting the Uminskis and welcoming Jackson to his Home in Ashton!

 Well, we left for Ashton on Wednesday, August 24th.  We made sure to stop at the Uminski's in Rigby so that they could meet Jackson.  It was great to see everyone again. 

Ariana was so excited to meet Jackson.

Jackson loved Ariana...mainly because she was feeding him.

But, also because she is his Aunt.

Jackson loves all who are family!

Nadia did such a great job holding Jackson.

Forrest didn't really want to hold him. 

But, we did get a picture with him.

Marek wasn't too excited about taking a picture either.

 But, Jackson was!  Look at that face!

 This has got to be one of my most FAVORITE looks that Jackson gets.

 I'm sure I will see this look ALL throughout his life.

He just has to get use to the fact that his mom...ME...and his DAD are a bit CRAZY!

 

 So, our car was a bit full coming back from Arkansas!  

Good thing we got the new car so that we could fit everything!

 Jackson really DOES not like the sun in his face.

Oh my goodness..I just love this boy so much!

Well...after many months, miles and adventures...we have arrived back in Ashton at our house.

This is the first time Jackson entered into his home.

He is so excited about it...right?

Well, we were!  It was so nice to be home and back in Ashton.

We sure did miss it.

It was nice to be back to all of our stuff.

Our house was exactly how we left it.

So weird. It was like we hadn't even left for as long as we did.

Sure do love this little house of ours.

Well, of course when we got home we unpacked the car and got some things put away.

But, our first item of business was to get some FOOD for our house.

So...off to Dave's we went!

 I had to document Jackson's first trip to Dave's!

We love Dave's! We visit it OFTEN!

It is one thing that we love about living in a small town...

going to the grocery store and seeing many people we know!

Which is exactly what happened here.

I don't even think we made it IN the store without seeing someone we knew in the parking lot.

It is great to be back!

The other thing we needed to do was to WEED our flower garden.

Oh goodness it was bad! 

I was so sad that I missed all of my flowers that had bloomed.

I couldn't believe HOW BIG my lupines were.

Unfortunately all I saw were the stems and leaves.

The flowers were dead. Sad! 

But, at least they grew.

I also missed the poppies and the lillies.

But, I heard they did bloom and they were beautiful.

Man, those pansies are such TOUGH flowers.

They are still going strong!

 The second night we were there we went to Arleigh Grube's wedding reception.

It was so nice to go and see a TON of people all at once.

Everyone was SOOO happy to meet Jackson.

They have been watching him grow up the last two months on Facebook, so they were so glad to fianlly see him and HOLD him.

For some reason I didn't take pictures of everyone who held him that night...just know that there were ALOT of people who held him and kissed him and cuddled on him.

He did so well with it all.

Gosh!  It was so good to see all of our friends again.

We sure do love living in Ashton!

Jackson really does like my friend Kathryn...he was just so tired at this point.

It was the end of the night and he was so ready to go to SLEEP!

Well, we are back!  The summer is technically over.

Kind of!  Andrew doesn't go back to school for another two weeks.

(I am writing this as if I posted it back in August)

So we still have some time to play!

Which is exactly what we are going to do.

Walker Women's Wild Weekend

Sunday was the start of the 2nd Annual Walker Women's Wild Weekend.

But, first we needed to go to church.

Here is Jackson all ready in his shirt and tie.

It totally looks like he is wearing suspenders too, but that is just the buckle on the car seat.

Oh goodness...I LOVE HIM!

That afternoon it was time to get ready for the next couple days.

We were heading to Park City.

Jackson was able to come because he "sucks"

Mom Walker made him and ML these really cute onesies!!

He is all ready for a GREAT time.

But, we were BOTH sad to leave Andrew behind.

Rock on ladies...let the festivies begin.

Friday night we just hung out in the hotel room.

We stayed in Midway at a Worldmark Resort.

It was nice, but not one of the best.

We all agreed on that.

One of the worst things about it all was the parking.

We had to park UNDER the rooms and then carry all of our luggage and stuff up two flights of stairs.  Not what you would expect from a nice resort.

I could only imagine how horrible it would be to go there in the winter.

But, the steak dinner we had was AWESOME!

Way to go Mom and Carson for preparing it.

Way to go Margie and Kate for EATING it!

After dinner we went to the pool.

This was Jackson's first time in a pool.

He seemed to like it.

We had to doctor up the swim diapers.

They didn't have any small ones so we just put duct tape around the top of it.

It worked just fine!

All that swimming sure did make him tired!

He was so snug and warm under all those blankets!

That night Mom made these amazing treats.

They were oreos and mixed up with melted marshmellows and then topped with Andes mints. They were SINFUL!  Definitely should not have eaten as many as I did!

That night we played some games and watched a movie.

It was a very relaxing day with the girls.

It was also the first time Jackson slept for SEVEN hours straight.

Maybe I should take him swimming more often!

The next morning we all got up and got ready and then headed to Color Me Mine.

I am not going to lie...when we first got there it kinda STRESSED me out.

Way too many decisions to make.

After about thirty minutes of just walking around aimlessly, I finally decided to make a tile

We all actually ended up making a tile.

I made mine for Jackson.

The babies were very good. We were there for four hours and they slept the ENTIRE time!

The worker lady was WAY impressed by it.

It was fun to go.

I have always wanted to go to Color Me Mine, and now I have!

Thanks Mom Walker for putting this all together for us!

After Color Me Mine we headed over to the Park City Pizza Factory.

We had salad, pizza, and PASTA!

Oh man, we were STUFFED!

Every bit of it was AMAZING!

 Somehow, though, we still had room for dessert.

We went to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Kate and I split a piece of chocolate covered cheesecake!

That was SOO good!

That night we went on a ghost tour in Park City.

It was all right.

We were all expecting to go into the building, but we just stood outside of them and the lady told us about the ghosts that lived inside.  

Sad we didn't see any!

 The next morning we went to this cute bakery in Midway.

Oh my goodness, everything we ate there was simply amazing.

The cupcakes were awesome!

I would drive all the way to Midway to eat at this bakery, for sure!  

The baker was even someone who had been on Ultimate Cake Contest on TLC!

She is famous!

While we were driving around, Branson's car hit 200,000 miles

It was so fun to watch that happen!

Tuesday morning we were out to the Olympic Park and did the zip line and the alpine slide.

I had never down either of these things, and was a bit scared at first.

But once doing both of them I LOVED every second!

It was AWESOME fun!

Luckily, we had unlimited rides, because I went on both of them multiple times!

So, FUN!

We took turns watching the babies.

Look on the ground and look at Jackson's amazing SPIT UP!

I am amazing he is growing with all of the spit up that he creates!

It was SUCH a fun day! 

Both babies were AWESOME!

They were so good!

We had so much fun.
