ONE MONTH

Can you believe I am ONE MONTH OLD?
Time sure does fly by when you are having as much fun as I am!
How could I not be having fun, I am a member of the Walker Clan!
This is how I like to fall asleep most of the time.
Just cuddling with my Mommy!
Look at my cute little feet.
Mom and Dad can't get enough of me.
They sure do like to take a ton of pictures of me!
Look how little I am all curled up in a ball.
I like to lay here and look at all the cool things hanging.
I can't wait till I can reach them and play with them.
 I absolutely LOVE taking baths.
I just love the way the water feels and becoming ALL clean.
This chair is REALLY comfortable too.
I don't cry at all until I am taken OUT of the sink.
Then I cry because I am just so cold.
I don't stop crying until Mommy gets me wrapped up really tight in a warm blanket.
I love this blanket.
Not only is it TEXAS it is REALLY warm too.
Sometimes in the morning, Mommy lays me on the couch and wraps this blanket around me.  I really like laying on it.  It makes me happy!
This is how Mommy can see what I am doing in the car.
I guess I can't get into any mischief now.
She will totally see what I am up to!
Look, I am on a train with Daddy.
We went to Little Rock to see the capitol.
(Refer to that blog post)
It was my first capitol that I visited and Mommy's 37th!
She only has 13 more to go.
I like to sit in this chair.
It vibrates and plays music.
It makes me happy.
 See how happy I am!
One time when we were in the car, I wasn't too happy.
Mommy quickly came to the back seat to sit next to me.
I just needed to know that she was there.
It gets lonely in the backseat.
I love to just hold her hand.
It gives me comfort.
I guess Mommy and Daddy thought we needed a new car.
We had to get rid of the Honda.
It was sad.
That is the only car I have known since I was born.
I guess I will get use to the Suzuki.
I actually like it a lot, because Mommy can come to my side a whole lot faster!
We went to the Doctor on the 19th. I really like Dr. Harvey and I will really miss him when we go back to Idaho.  I did so well, Mom and Dad went out and celebrated at Red Lobster.  I gained a WHOLE pound since the last time we went to the Doctor two weeks ago.  I slept the whole time we were at the restaurant.  Well, for a bunch of the time I slept in Daddy's arms while he ate his lunch.  Gosh, I just love my Dad so much.  He always knows how to take care of me.
 Look, I have started smiling.
A lot!
 More tummy time.
I am getting bigger everyday!
On my one month birthday we got to talk to the Chapman Family.
They are just so excited to meet me in a month.
They seem like a WAY cool family, so I am excited to meet them in a month as well.
Well, from what I can see, this is going to be an great life.
I sure do have some amazing parents.
Here's to the next MONTH of my life!

NEW CAR!!

That's right, we had a baby and decided to trade in our beloved Civic and upgrade to a bigger vehicle. Because of all the road tripping we do we thought this would be a good investment. Plus it has All Wheel Drive so we'll be able to survive our last winter in Ashton. So after hours and hours of research and phone calls we bought a new car.

This is our "new" (to us) 2008 Suzuki XL7

AWD
7 Passenger
Leather Interior
V6
70,000 miles (30,000 less than our Civic and a year younger)
Easy fold down seats
Moon Roof
6 Disc CD Changer
Power everything
Heated seats (Margie is so excited for this)

Even though it was a bit sad to leave the Civic behind (We've been through so much with her) it's nice to be able to move on to bigger things.

We drove 98 miles east to Oklahoma to get the car.It made for an interesting trip. Jackson did pretty well. Even with having to spend 4 hours in a super hot car dealership. it must have been 100 degrees in there. We were shocked we were able to walk in and walk out with a new car in just under 4 hours. We feel really good about our new ride. We got a great deal and we're very happy and excited for our trip home.

Little Rock #37

Welp, we added another capitol city to Margie's list.
We took a  Saturday and went down to Little Rock, Arkansas.
It is a 3 hour drive and Jackson did GREAT!
He slept the WHOLE time.
It was awesome.
The only thing we did while we were in Little Rock was go to the Capital Building.
It was so stinkin' hot outside, we didn't want to be out there any longer than we had to.

This was a pretty neat capital building.
It was just really neat being there with our SON!
Our little family.
Even if Jackson will never remember this, it is still so fun to start doing our ROAD TRIPS as a family.
Here is the inside of the dome.
This was the inside of the House of Representative Room.
I  thought it looked AWESOME!
We walked around the capitol, got my stamp and then headed out.
Oh, this is the Clinton Museum.
We didn't go to it, but we drove by.
It is a pretty interesting looking building.

It was a pretty good day.
I'm glad that I have visited 37 capitols.
On our way down to Little Rock we read up on the state of Arkansas.
Some interesting facts that we learned...
Arkansas is the only state that has a law about how to pronounce the it
The Main Street of Texarkana goes right down the border of Arkansas and Texas.  The Texas police parole one side of the street and the Arkansas police parole the other.
That is pretty fun!

13 more Capitol Cities to go.
Then I AM DONE!

Who does he look like?

We were just a little curious to who Jackson looks more like.
Here are our baby pictures compared to Jackson.
What do you think?
Who does he look like more?
Mommy or Daddy?

Week Three

Has it really been three weeks already?
Time flies when you are having fun!
Mommy and I have been doing some tunny time everyday.
Mommy sure is proud of me.
She says I am really strong.
I can pick my head up and turn it to the other side.
I can even push myself with my legs and do a little army crawl.
Strong!  I am Strong!
Sometimes I wonder what is really going on around me?
Life is so different these days.
Oh, don't forget, I still sleep quite a bit.
I am awake a little bit more than before.
But, for the most part, I still sleep...all the time!
I love it when Daddy comes home from work.
It is my time to hang out with him.
That way Mommy can take a break.
I just fit so well inside of Daddy's arms.
Here is me on another day doing more tummy time.
Today Mommy got out the Happy Apple.
I love the Happy Apple.
Mommy says that she use to play with one of these when she was little.
I think that is pretty cool.

Friday Mommy had me watch when the Shuttle took off.
Apparently, this is the last time a shuttle of this size is ever going into space.
She thought I should make sure to watch it.
That afternoon, Daddy came and got us.
We got to go to his work for a Baby Shower in MY HONOR!
It was really nice.
Mommy was really touched that they would do something so nice.
The cake was awesome, the people were great, and EVERYONE
Loved me!!!
This is Jeff Thorpe.
He is one of Daddy's bosses.
He sure did think I was something!
Why wouldn't he.
Mommy & Daddy were so proud of me
I was alert and not crying the WHOLE time.
 Here is everyone.
They were trying to find baby words using my name.
Some of them did a really good job.
Mommy opened my gifts for me.
Something about I am too small to open gifts.
Sure did get a ton of diapers.
This is Gary.
He is Daddy's other boss.
He really enjoyed my octopus toy!
Look at this cool diaper cake.
I can't wait to play with all of those toys.
Here I am at Daddy's desk.
He is so proud of me.
I loved visiting him at work.
He works with some amazing people.
Later that day KATI and HARVEY came to visit me.
Whoo hoo!  It was so nice to meet my aunt and uncle.
They drove far to come see me.
I feel so special!
Oh, yeah!
Look at this onesie that Mommy made for my trip to Wal-Mart Corporate Offices.
Everyone thought it was so cute.
Most likely because I AM WEARING IT!
Saturday we took Kati and Harvey to the Wal-Mart Visitor Center.
Really...haven't I already been here before?
We also took a stroll around the Bentonville Downtown Sqaure.
Then we went to this restaurant and got this amazing ice cream cone.
Seriously, if I could eat ice cream, I would eat this whole thing right up!
 It was HUGE!

When we got home, we were all a little tired.
This time I slept with Aunt Kati!
Then I got to sleep with Uncle Harvey.
My life is just so nice.
After a while we had to say good-bye to Aunt Kati and Uncle Harvey.
It sure was nice of them to come and visit me.
Mommy and Daddy had a good time visiting with them too.
Sunday was my first day at church.
I slept all through Sacrament.
Just like Mommy and Daddy wanted me to.
Here's another onesie that my Mom made for me.
I love being able to wear a white shirt and tie to church every Sunday!
Well, my week ends the way it started...
With Tummy Time!
I have loved being home with Mommy everyday.
She sure does take great care of me.
She is healing really nicely.
She isn't even taking her medicine anymore and she is able to move around quite well.
Hopefully, she is getting enough rest.
I try my hardest JUST to wake up when I am hungry and then go right back to sleep.

I wonder what my 4th week of life will bring?
