Subbing/Babysitting

The last couple of days I have been doing some substitute teaching.
While I taught, Britney watched Jackson.
Then she subbed and I watched Carter and Hailee.
We had a great time together.
Carter really was interested in Jackson's swing!
Wednesday Morgan came over while Leah was at Joy School.
After Joy School Leah and Hailee came back to my house.
That meant there was Jackson, Hailee, CArter, Leah and Lily over at the house.
Luckily, it was a nice day outside so the big girls played outside.
That is where April our next door neighbor's daughter came from.
Morgan and I spent our time doing some crafts and making food.
Then Andrew came home from school...
Not expecting to come home to so many kids.
Towards the end of everyone's time there they all ended up INSIDE the house.
Morgan and I were out at the Dining Room table...
I took a glance INSIDE the TV Room and this is the scene I saw...(pictured above)
If only this picture had sound to it..I guess that would be a video huh?

It was pretty fun to see Andrew surrounded by all those kids!
LOVE IT!

I enjoyed my time subbing, but looked forward to being HOME once it was all said and done!  Thanks Britney for helping out and splitting up the job and watching Jackson!

Roll Over, Roll Over

Jackson has been trying for a couple days now to Roll Over.  Today he did just that!  So glad I was there with my camera to document the big event!! The first time he needed just a little bit of help from me, and then the second time he was ALL BY HIMSELF.
HE IS NOW A ROLL OVER KING!

Spending some time Outside

Lately, the weather outside has been very nice.
A bit chilly, but sunny and beautiful.
We are trying to take advantage of this weather, because we know SNOW is on its way.
Saturday morning Andrew and I headed down to Rigby to see our nephew Forrest play in his soccer game.  His dad, my brother, Spencer is his coach!
It was great to see Forrest play.
He is a great soccer player.
After the game we hung out at a park for just a bit before Ariana & I headed to a Baby Shower for our friend who is having TWINS!
I made her SIX tie onesies.
Can't wait to meet the little fellas!
The next day on Sunday we went out to our friend's house...the Stegelmeiers for a little food and fun with our other friends the Schauerhamers.  When we got there Morgan was taking family pictures of the Stegelmeiers, so we tagged along.  They went up into a grain field and took some fun shots with the Tetons behind them. Jackson had a great time hanging out of the SUN ROOF...while the car was in PARK of course!!  Doesn't he look so cute in his little Cat in the Hat Onesie!  Thanks Mom Walker for giving that to us.

It was great to spend the evening with friends.
It was also nice to be outside in the sun!
Wonder how long that will last?

Look at these Fun Rice Krispie Treats

I made some CAKE BATTER Rice Krispie Treats.  They were pretty yummy.  I decided to put them in the shape of footballs and used melted chocolate chips and piped them on to make sure they looked like footballs!  They were so good!  In order to make CAKE BATTER Rice Krispie Treats all you do is make up a batch of rice krispies and just add some YELLOW CAKE MIX to them!  AWESOME!

Three Months

Look who has reached the THREE MONTH mark!
Can you believe it?  Three months have already gone by.
I will let Jackson tell you how he feels about this last month
(From Jackson's point of view)
I have started to realize there are toys I can play with.
This one even makes noise when I pull it.
I love learning about the world around me.
I am so proud of my daddy who started his second to last semester of school.
Here he is holding me on his first day of classes.
Have you heard about my new swing.
I LOVE IT!
It is so comfortable.
I love when Mommy wraps me up tight and puts me in the swing.
I just lay there and go right to sleep.
Thank you Gramma and Dja-Dja for this awesome swing
It is my favorite!
 Hey everyone, LOOK AT ME!
I am sitting up in my Bumbo chair.
It is a whole new world when I am sitting up.
I can see so many NEW things.
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bumbo chair.
I also love this rattle.
It is my friend.
This is one of my FAVORITE things to do.
My mom puts me in front of her computer and I watch the slide show of all my pictures that she has on it.  Am I conceited or what?
I just love looking at myself.
I sure do love my Daddy!
He plays with me all the time.
He even puts off his homework so I can spend some time with him.
He just makes me SO happy!
I also LOVE spending time with Mommy!
She has started reading me books and I love to look at the pictures and hear her tell me the story.

Here are some pictures that Mom's friend Morgan took for me to celebrate me turning 3 months.  And some of the things that Mommy and Daddy love about me.
They love it when I lay on the ground and just kick my legs and flail my arms all around.
They love it when I chomp down on my binky.
They also love it when I play with my binky and pull it in and out of my mouth.
My mom and dad both love when I open my mouth up really big with a huge smile on my face.
They love that I am so curious about things.
They love when someone new comes in the car and I STARE them down.
They love it when I am in my PJs and all soft and cuddly.
They love all my little sounds that I make when I am happy.
They love how I smile at them all the way across the room!
They love how I smile with my entire face.
Even my eyes glow!
They love how I am healthy and happy.

Glad that they love me, because I sure do love them!

Carseat Cover, Birthday Sign, & Cream Cheese Delight

Yes, I know, I still have a TON of stuff to catch up on.  I am not even done with our trip back to Ashton, HOWEVER..I thought I would put what I have been up to lately.  I of course have had quite a bit of time on my hands, and I have been keep it busy...mostly with taking care of Jackson, cleaning dishes, folding laundry and watching TV!  But, I have done some FUN projects among all the day to day things!  Here they are...
Last Saturday, I decided to make a carseat cover for Jackson. I took the fabric that I had left over from making his quilt and put this together.
I am not going to lie...when it was all said and done, I was way proud of myself.
I even got fancy on the stitch I put on it.
I am so glad that we have this now.
That next day we went to a Court of Honor.
It was outside and it was so nice to have this to protect Jackson from all the bugs flying around.
Thanks again Morgan for teaching me how to quilt.
Next project...a Birthday sign.
Andrew's brother is serving his second tour in Irag.
His Birthday is Monday and if he were here, we would call him and sing him one of our original birthday songs.
However, he is not..so we decided to make him a sign that we would take a picture of and email it to him.  This was the first sign. Not too shappy...but after looking at it, I realized I was making a sign for a SOLDIER!!  A soldier who is protecting OUR freedoms.
I decided he needed something more from me.
He needed me to take more time and put more effort into his birthday poster.
It was the least I could do for him...so this is what I came up with!
Not going to lie...I was very PROUD of the finished project.
Not to shabby having just posterboard, glue, and scrapbook paper.
It took me quite a while, but I really enjoyed doing it.
It was fun to do something creative.
AND...Jackson even slept the WHOLE time I was putting it together.
That was his birthday present to Mike.
We took some pics with it and then sent them to Mike.
Oh my gosh!  Jackson is sooo cute!!!

Homecoming Parade

Tonight is the Homecoming Game at the High School...
So of course we have the PARADE today.
There was a chance Jackson and I were not going to go,
because it is cold and rainy outside.
Luckily, my friend Britney came and picked us up!
ALSO...luckily, I was able to find some WARMER clothes for him.
This outfit is labeled for SIX MONTHS.
But I think it fits him pretty well.
Thanks Aunt Kati for the WARM clothes!
This is how Jackson and Carter (Britney's son) watched the Parade.
WARM in the CAR!
There was a moment of "warmth" in the middle of the parade.
(Well, it stopped raining at least!)
I love Ashton, because you get to see the PARADE TWICE!
It goes down Main Street and then it comes BACK down Main Street.
Jackson and I were able to take a picture while we were waiting for it to come back down Main Street.  We had a great time during the parade.
It was fun to see some of my students from last year in the parade.

After the Parade we went to Heather's house and had lunch.
It was a great day to be a Stay at Home Mom!

Going to Joy School

A group of my friends are all a part of a Joy School group here in Ashton.  Since I don't have a three or four year old I cant exactly send my kid...but I still wanted to be involved.  It would give me something to do and I love kids!!!

So every once in a while I will help out with the person who is in charge.
This week Diana was in charge and she asked me to help.
We were learning about the letter B!
It was really fun.  We ate Butterfly Sandwiches (sandwich cut in half and put the corners together with a carrot stick in the middle.  Looks like a butterfly)  traced the letter B.  Read some books about B and played with bubbles.  Diana did a great job putting it all together.

I of course brought Jackson along.  He was suppose to be sleeping during the whole time...
It is ok...The kids LOVED having Jackson there.
It was so cute to see them interact with him and keep him entertained!

Can't wait for the next time I get to help out with Joy School!!

Sitting on the Couch

More Catching Up...
We like to put Jackson on the couch to sit.

This time putting him there made him look like he was plotting how he was going to take over the world or something.
Then there was this look....
Not sure what he is saying here!

Meeting My Students

Have you ever wondered what it would look like if you were to take a 2 1/2  month old to a school full of students that you taught last year.  The last time they saw you, you were 8 months pregnant?  Needless to say...these girls were a little EXCITED!  Jackson loved all the attention.  I am sure this is nothing like what his life will be like...always surrounded by the ladies?!?!?

It was great to take Jackson up to the school to show him off.
It was great to see my students all grown up!
Even though I LOVED teaching, it was nice to know I didn't have to WORK there anymore and I get to STAY home with JACKSON!
NOW...I am living MY dream!
My dream of being a MOM!!!

Time to play!

"DAD!!!! It is not time to sleep!  It is time to PLAY!!!"

We were at my in-laws house.
I was cooking dinner in the kitchen.
I looked over to see what Dad and Jackson were doing.
This is what I found!

So precious!

Utah for ML's Blessing Day

Another Catch up Moment

After Bryan's Amazing Race Party we headed down to Utah.
WE got to Andrew's parent's house at about midnight.
Jackson slept the whole way down and I was afraid he would not sleep that night.
But, he did!  In the morning we had a photo shoot in his PJs!
I love these PJs.
This is why!  Look at that bear on his bum!  We call these his "bear" bum PJs!
They are way too cute.
We woke up and got ready for church.
Jackson was so excited to go see his cousin get blessed.
He needed to see how it was done, so that in a month he would know what to do when it was his turn to be blessed.
After the blessing we went to a  picnic had in ML's honor!
Kate and Mom Walker made some yummy salads, rolls, and cakes.
Everything tasted awesome.
It was great to hang out with family.
It was perfect weather and very relaxing.
 Family Photo!
At one point ML needed to go to sleep, but she didn't have her binky.
Jackson let her borrow one of his.
The Patriots look good on ya ML.
This pic was taken with my dad in mind.
He gave Jackson the Red Sox onesie and he can fit in it now!
Sure does look good on him!
I absolutely LOVE this little outfit on Jackson.
Those cute shorts and fun shirt.
And those shoes.
So little.
So cute.
Monday morning we headed over to IKEA for FREE breakfast.
Jackson slept the whole time we were there.
I know he is so small, but for some reason he looks so grown up in this outfit.
Love. Those. Feet.
 The two kids enjoying IKEA!
Later that night we took a trip over to Kerstin Anderson Davis's house.
Kerstin is my BEST FRIEND from my younger days.
She was so excited to meet our little Jackson.
It was so fun to visit with her and see her kids who are growing up SOO fast.
Her oldest was so good with Jackson.
Ah!  I just love Kerstin and JACKSON so much!
As we were leaving I saw that she had her Letter Jacket in coat closet.
I of course commented on it and she quickly put it on.
Which of course meritted a picture!
What fun!  What memories.
Love you Kerstin.
Thanks for letting us stop on by!
 SuperBaby to the Rescue!
On our way out of Utah on Tuesday we stopped in Clearfield to check out Richie's new JOB!
He is the Drama teacher at the High School there.
The kids were at lunch and hanging out in the Drama Room (I so remember those days, but I hung out in the Choir Room!)
After the tour I told Richie I wanted a picture of him "teaching" in the front of the classroom.
For some reason the kids were SOOO excited to ACT like the class was going on.
It was like they were in Drama or something?!?!
So fun to see Richie as a "grown-up" in a real job.
So proud.
Can't wait to see Beauty and the Beast in February.

Here is Jackson hanging out on a High School campus.
Such a big boy!

Well, like always...it was a great trip down to Utah.
So glad we could see family and friends.
We loved being at the blessing and spending time with everyone!

Until next time...
