Spelling Bee & Birthday Party

A couple of weeks ago we went down to Provo for Richie's Preview. He is performing in the 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee. It is such a great show. We loved watching Richie perform! He was just SOOOO hilarious! This is me spying on Richie before the show.
After the show, we went and checked out Pizza Pie Cafe. It is a franchise of Craigo's Pizza. While we were there, Margie ran into THREE people that she knew. Matt, Tiffany, and Will. Oh gosh! She runs into somewhere EVERYWHERE we go!

Families are Together Forever at Pizza Pie Cafe!
"Richie, I am going to miss you so much!
You were just soooo good in the play! SOOO GOOD!"
"Ah, thanks Margie...now let go of me. You scare me!"
We then spent the rest of the weekend in So. Jordan with Mom and Dad Walker. It was Dad's birthday. It was such perfect timing. Thanks Dad for having your birthday the same weekend Richie performed his play! =) It really helped with our schedule.

Saturday morning we went to Wal-Mart to do some last minute shopping. We saw THIS girl! We were afraid she didn't realize that she forgot to get dressed in the morning.
How embarrassing for her.
It is cake time! We think Baby J liked the cake THE most!

When we were about to leave, Baby J got in the car to come back to Idaho with us!

He was totally fine until we SHUT the door and he saw his parents outside of the car looking at him. We didn't keep the door shut for long. I guess he really didn't want to come to Idaho!

We had another GREAT weekend in Utah! We were even able to go to RED LOBSTER. Unfortunately, we were NOT able to eat the LOBSTER FONDUE, because IT IS NOT THERE ANYMORE!!!!!!! But, we still had a great dinner and loved being in Utah!

Thanks Mom and Dad for all you do for us!

Richie YOU were AWESOME.
Can't wait to see the DVD of your performance!

St. Patty's Day

We had a ALL YOU CAN WEAR GREEN CONTEST in my class. I go all out for St. Patty's Day and I thought that all my student's should come in on the fun. This student was the one who won! She had TONS of green on!
That night we went over to our friend's house and I let their kids try on my outfit. They were so cute! Here are some pics!

After a while I remembered that I can do some COOL things with my camera. I can just pick one color to focus on. This first pic was a mess up but it came out pretty cool!
This picture SCARES me!
Notice JUST the green is coming through! Love it!
Then I remembered that I can CHANGE a color. I chose to change green to RED! Here are the pics!

We had a GREAT St. Patty's Day!
Happy Birthday to Ariana and Kati!
Happy Anniversary to Elizabeth and James!

This is what happens....

Ok, everyone, just in case you were wondering....

This is what happens when you give a two year old some stickers and free access to your face.
It was actually really cute.
She would think long and hard about where to place each sticker.
It was a huge decision she had to make.
I just love that little Leah!

Happy "Unbirthday" Mrs. Walker

March was set aside for all of the Summer Birthdays. My "Unbirthday" was on March 23rd. My students got together and planned a SURPRISE party for me. They organized treats and everything.
The best part of it all---they brought High School Musical Karaoke. We sang for a bit and then we watched HSM 2! We were suppose to watch 3, because they know it is my favorite, but it was left at home, in one of my student's DVD players. Oh well, something to look forward to at the end of the year!

Oh, HOW I LOVE MY STUDENTS!

PREPARING FOR NEW FLOORS

Remember when our house use to look like this.....

Well...it doesn't look like that anymore....well at least the FLOORS have begun to change.

When we first looked at the house we noticed that the tiles on the floor were beginning to break. We knew that at some point we would have to change the flooring and put in laminate.
The transformation has begun.
We wanted to refinish the REAL wood floors that are on the ground, but they have gone through WAY too much to do that.
So laminate it is!
Andrew is the kind of guy that when he gets an idea....he does NOT wait to do it.
He had a day off of school and that meant...the tile and the carpet are UP even though we are not able to put the new floor down for another three weeks. It is okay. We have still have "Wood" floors right now.

THANKFULLY Andrew Schauerhamer was able to come over and help. Those two boys had a ton of fun doing some demolition on our floors! Wish I could have been there to witness all of the fun. But, I had to go to WORK!

Enjoy the pictures....

That is a TON of TILE! Believe me, it was pretty dusty in our home.

Now for the CARPET REMOVAL

And we are DONE!
For NOW!
It has been fun to see this floor go through the ages.

Andrew will have to post all they found when they pulled up that carpet!

THANK YOU ANDREW S. FOR HELPING MY HUSBAND ANDREW. YOU ARE WONDERFUL TO SPEND YOUR DAY WITH US!

THANK YOU MORGAN FOR LETTING ANDREW COME AND HANG OUT WITH ANDREW ALL DAY! IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK, I WOULD HAVE COME OVER AND HUNG OUT WITH YOU AND YOUR GIRLS!

Home and Garden Show

We went to a Home and Garden Show on Saturday. There were some cool things there. I am starting this blog off with the I WANT section....these are all of the things that...
I WANT
Can we just say, this is dang cool!
It just puts a whole new look into your
Home Stereo System.
The control panel also controls your
LIGHTS and CURTAINS!
Basically anything electronic.
Those curtains open and close with a touch of a button! Why wouldn't I want this.
Hello...all friends can come over and hang out in our hot tub...
When we get this of course!
This is such a Ty Pennigton thing to do!
He does it in almost all of his homes that he designs.
But, really I don't need this, I think it just looks cool.
Andrew and I like watching EVERYTHING together!
How relaxing would this be in our backyard?
We might need to wait until we move from Ashton,
so we can use it for more than just three months of the year!
Again! RELAXING.Wouldn't this guy be so dang cute in my "garden"
Just shows I am CRAZY!

Done with the I WANT section. Now for the What we did the whole day Section!
This is where I show what we did the WHOLE day!
Looking at counter top colors I saw these....
Really? Do people REALLY use these colors in their kitchen?
We went by the Pest Control Booth.
I eyed the Chocolate Chip Cookies,
Seeing how I am a Chocolate Junkie now.
As we got closer, I noticed there was something more
than just chocolate in these cookies.
Each one was topped with a CRICKET.
Don't worry, they are not the ones that were sprayed.
She picked them up from the Pet Store and roasted them all night.
(She was really excited when she told us this.)

Andrew ate his in a JIFFY!Me on the other hand.
I now know why I can never be on FEAR FACTOR.
It took Kate and I a bit longer to eat ours.

Chocolate chip cookies are NOT suppose to be CRUNCHY!!
Kate just couldn't swallow it. She had to spit it out.
Do you see the cricket in the top right corner?
The grosser part of it all was finding a bit of cricket in between my teeth ten minutes later!
But at least I can say,
I HAVE EATEN A CRICKET!
Gross!

These next pictures, should have been in the I WANT section, but I decided not to do that!
I thought Andrew would get a bit upset!
But let's just be honest for a second...

TY PENNINGTON IS HOT!
Unfortunately he wasn't really there.
Kate and I had to deal with just the posters.
Lucky for me,
I REALLY HAVE MET HIM!
I will have to dig that picture up and post it on here.
The day that I met him, my friend and I spoke to him in a British Accent
He thinks I am from England.
I am pretty sure if I were to meat him again
He would remember that!
We got suckered into a cooking show.
We were just so hungry, and they were giving away salad!
This should also go in the I WANT section.
That veggie cutter thing was so cool!
But so DANG expensive!
The show was good for the first 30 minutes.
But then it went another hour!
The cookware they were trying to sell.....
EXPENSIVE!
But don't worry, everyone can "afford" it.
They have LAYAWAY and ACCEPT ALL CREDIT CARDS!
The good thing was we got free food.
That was really good.
A free cutting board.
A free knife and a free measuring spoon.
Jamie really enjoyed hanging out with his Aunt Margie!
Andrew really enjoyed trying to win something on this "slot machine"

And would you believe that I saw someone that I knew!?!?!
Jana Hightower! Love her!
My in-laws think it is crazy that I see someone I know
EVERYWHERE!
They were actually surprised I didn't see someone at Brian Regan the night before.
I could have!
One of my students from a couple years ago was there with his dad!
I just didn't see them!

This guy is British! We stopped to listen to him.
Then we ended up getting his little veggie cutter device.
Thanks Mom!

It was a great day! We enjoyed ourselves.
Saw some cool things and walked a LOT!
If only we had endless amounts of money
to buy so many of this things that were there!

Oh well...we have all we need in life...

LOVE
from our family and friends!
