The Dog Derby is in town!
I loved this team the best.
It was a group of Huskies.
Beautiful!
We sold T-shirts.
(As you know from the previous post.)
Thursday night we went up to the Musher Dinner and did quite well there.
Friday Margie went with her class to see the mushers leave and she sold 3 shirts there.
Saturday John was here to help us sell too!
He loved being in Ashton at the Dog Derby!
We did quite well.
We sold all but 12 shirts.
That is pretty good!

Oh, Andrew's parents came up and
spent the weekend with us.
They LOVED it!
Mom Walker loved sitting in the Barber Shop chair.
Because it was vintage!
The Uminski's also came up and spent some time with us. It was good to see them too.
But man was it COLD outside!

T-Shirts Anyone?

Welp, it is that time of year....
The Dog Derby is coming to Ashton.
Andrew and his friend John decided to make shirts and sell them at the event.
Here are the shirts.
100 of them
Oh and did we mention, if you buy three shirts you get a free drawstring bag.
(Or you can buy one bag for five dollars!)
It was our job to roll, tie, and tag them all!

If you are in the area you should come up to Ashton and enjoy the Dog Derby!
Maybe you could even buy a shirt,
or two, or three, or four.....

And of course we did all this rolling while watching....
SMALLVILLE

Monday, February 15, 2010

Morgan told us we need to watch Smallville. It is her favorite show. We have been watching it and we love it. We are into the 3rd Season.

Valentine's Day Weekend

When Margie was little, her mom would make all of the little Uminski kids a HUGE heart shaped cookie with their name on it. They would see how long it would take to eat their cookie. It just made Valentine's Day so much fun! This year, Margie decided to make special Valentine's Day cookies for her friends here in Ashton.
Morgan and Andrew were the first to receive their cookies since they were leaving before the weekend started. They were also the only ones that got big cookies. Sorry everyone else, Margie just is not as cool as her mom! She can't make THAT many big cookies. She thought she could, but she soon relized how much she didn't even like making sugar cookies....but she persevered and made some little cookies for everyone with her husband's help!
Well, actually Andrew did way more than Margie!

The perfect test...how do the little kids enjoy them...
Leah could not stop eating that icing.

These are all of the cookies we made for some of the people in Ashton. It was a great Sunday afternoon making all of these!
This is Andrew's cookie. Margie wanted Andrew to have a taste of her family tradition. He of course loved the cookie!
This is us on Saturday night. We had just come back from the Stake Valentine's Dance for the adults. We had a blast. It was too much fun dancing and being with eachother!

Snowy Roofs

Meilei and James shoveling away on top of the Idaho Bank.
We always thought that icicles looked really beautiful, but we soon found out that you need to get rid of them as soon as possible. They can do severe damage to your roof. We decided that today was the day we were going to clear off the roof. Let's just say the Allen's inspired us! It was also a beautiful day outside.

There was a piece of ice on this part of the roof that was about 400 pounds. It was insane!

That is all ice, with some snow on top!

It was a fun a productive day outside.

Chocolate Cheese Goodness

February 5th!
Meilei was craving Nacho Cheese
We had the Chocolate Fountain
Equals Pure Enjoyment!

Andrew teachin' the youngins how to draw!
The joys of having a choclate fountain. Thanks Richie for an amazing Christmas gift!
Morgan has a few problems when it comes to eating.
Everybody just chillin' in the kitchen having a grand 'ole time!

Even the kids got their fair share of chocolate!

Towards the end of the night we had cheesecake for Andrew S's birthday!

Before we all went home we played a great game of Curses. Everyone had a blast. It is definitely one of our favorite games!

We had such a great time! Eating, talking, and playing some great games.
Can't wait for the next get together!
