We have found our way to our apartment. We are on the first floor. We have a nice balcony and the complex left this basket of snack food to welcome us!
We were pretty excited to see what was found on the inside.
Here is the first bedroom. It has two closets and a bathroom.
The Living, Dining, and Kitchen. This is what you see when you first walk in.
Pretty nice furniture and TV!
This is the second bedroom. Again, it has two closets and a bathroom.
This tub actually has JETS in it! Pretty nice!
Every morning we see little bunnies all over the grass. I just love it!
Andrew and I have been driving around A LOT to see the area. We absolutely love it here. It is so nice because 5 minutes off the highway you find yourself on beautiful forrested roads with gorgeous homes. This home is found on one of our favorite streets..OSARK ACRES Rd.
It cam complete with swans in their personal pond.
Here is a lake found right by the downtown Rogers area.
We came to a light and it said you could turn left or go straight. We went straight into this DEAD END! It was pretty funny! We are still wondering why they even give you the option to go STRAIGHT!
Can you even handle this house. Oh my. We first saw it from the view in the lower right hand corner picture and we went and found the front. It is an estate to say the least. It is huge. This is found 5 minutes from our apartment and from the mall. But, doesn't it look like it would be miles and miles and miles from civilization?
Ok, this is found in a neighborhood called Tuscany Gardens. For some reason they have built this structure. It served no purpose. It was just weird. For that reason, and other reasons we will not be looking at houses in this neighborhood...ever!
Here are some houses, farms, and beautiful landscaping just 5 minutes from downtown Bentonville. Absolutely gorgeous!
We have started going into Open Houses whenever we can. We just love looking at houses. This one was wonderful. We really like the outside of it. It was a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath. Pretty nice. I felt like I was on House Hunters on HGTV!
Here is downtown Bentonville.
We absolutely LOVE downtown Bentonville.
Somedays I will take lunch to Andrew and we will go here to eat it.
The town square is so quaint and lovely.
The bottom picture is of Sam Walton's Five and Dime store.
It has been turned into a Visitor Center for WalMart.
It is a GREAT museum of the company.
We really enjoyed going there.
In the front window there is a structure of the buildings in LEGOS. AWESOME!
They have this amazing display of a touch screen computer using Google Earth.
It shows all the WalMarts all over the world.
We had some fun with it and found our homes.
The left pic is the Schauerhamer's home and their farm.
Friday night we went to downtown Bentonville and there were two groups of people just sitting around in circles playing their instruments and singing songs. It was awesome!
We sat there and listened to the singing while we ate at The Station restaurant.
They were some pretty good hamburgers.
When we came home one day, we found this baby bird hugging the curb right where we park. We found its nest and two other baby birds. The nest had fallen out of the tree. Andrew got a paper towel, picked up the birds, put them in the nest and then put the nest back in the tree. We felt like such heroes!
Look at all of these REALLY nice clothes I bought for 20$. Most of them still had the tags on them, meaning they had never been worn before. I got them from this lady who lived in the REALLY nice neighborhood. I mean, hello, I had to talk to the GUARD in order to get in to the neighborhood. Her house was huge. I picked out over 20 pieces of clothing and she gave them all to me for 20 bucks. NICE! Craigslist here is AWESOME!
This is where we do our grocery shopping. It is a new thing that Wal-Mart is doing. They are called Neighborhood Markets. It is JUST a grocery store. It is about 3 minutes from our house and we love going there. They are very convenient.
This is something else that Wal-Mart is doing. They are called Wal-Mart on Campus. This is across the street from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. It was small convenient store. Pretty nice!
Here is the stadium for University of Arkansas. Even though I am a die hard fan of Texas Tech...knowing that I have a college football team and stadium so close to me, makes me happy. We will go to some of the games. For sure!
We have been here for a week and we have seen quite a bit of the land around us.
We feel like it is the best of both worlds.
We are minutes away from stores, but we are also right next to farms and a ton of trees and beautiful land. It is nice! We sure do miss all of our friends! Wish everyone could live here with us!
