Sleeping TIme

Tonight (Jan. 16th) when we were watching TV, Jackson came and sat with Dad.
 Soon he looked like this....
And then like this....
And finally...he was asleep!!!
This is Dad's favorite part of being a Dad...
Cuddling up with his precious sleeping baby boy!

Graham Cracker Love

(Catch up from January 11)
Yesterday Jackson and I went to Scouts.
I am now over the Bears.
Jackson loves to come and hang out with the boys.

He loved today even MORE because he got to have Graham Crackers for the FIRST time.
He was in love!

He was wondering why it took me so long to introduce him to such goodness.

He was so thankful that the other leader, Lisa, talked me into giving him one.
The next day I thought he could have some for a snack.
He again LOVED them.
Most of them, however, ended up at the bottom of the Bumbo seat.
Don't worry once I took him out of it, he tried with all of his might to get them out of the bottom of that Bumbo seat.  He was quite successful.
He just can't seem to get enough of those Graham Crackers.

Jackson's 6-months Photo Shoot

Our little boy is GROWING UP!
I just CANNOT get over this smile!
 It just melts my heart!
 Such a big boy!

I love this one.
It just makes me think that he is taking a photo at school!

 Love him!
This is a new face he has started doing.
It is his FAKE cry look!
Do ya see the little tooth coming through?

"Ok, I will sit here and let you take a picture of me!"

Oh my!
We had such a great time taking pictures of this little guy!
Our friend, Morgan, is the photographer.
She did such a WONDERFUL job!
I can't even handle how good these pics came out.

Thank you AGAIN Morgan!
You have some serious talent.

Gymnastics Please

On January 11th, we met up with some Mom's and their little ones for a little Play Date.
We went to Open Gym at a Gymnastics gym in Idaho Falls.
Jackson absolutely LOVED every second of it.

He crawled ALL over the mats.
He played in the Foam Pit!
He wasn't QUITE sure about it at first....
But once he got use to it...
He had a blast.
He even got to play on the trampoline.
I wonder if this means we are going to have a gymnast in our future.

A Brand New Year

It is 2012!
Wow!  Another year is here and we can't wait to see what it will bring us.
We left San Antonio on the 1st and headed up to Lubbock.
We stayed there that night and then bright and early Monday morning on the 2nd we headed up to Utah.  Man it was such a LONG day. But, we are so happy we were able to spend a few days in Utah with Andrew's family.

Jackson and ML had a great time playing with eachother.
It is so fun to see them as they both grow.
They are going to be the best of cousins!

Jackson did some more playing at Nana and PopPops and then it was time for us to head home.
We got home on the 4th.  Andrew starts his last semester on the 5th!!!
The end is in our sights.
When we got home there was a package waiting for Jackson.
My Uncle Lenny and Aunt Paula sent Jackson this awesome Dinosaur toy.
As you can see Jackson LOVES it!!!!

He got even MORE excited when I pushed a button and it sang the ABCs to him.
Thank you so much Uncle Lenny and Aunt Paula.
I am sure this is going to be become his favorite toy!!!

It was nice to be home.  We of course had some shoveling to do.
But it is always nice to come home after a very long vacation.
We loved being able to see everyone that we did and we look forward to this Brand New Year!

Christmas in San Antonio - Day 18

We are with the Hillman's!
We left bright and early this morning to spend New Year's with the Hillman fam.
Jackson was sooo excited to be back with his cousins.
And they were excited to see us too.
Uncle Richie gave them the game The Great Grape Escape.
We played it a few times with the kids.
It was fun to squish the play-do grapes in all the contraptions.
Elizabeth was at a Primary activity with her new Sunbeams when we got there.
When she came home, she had this cake with her.
It was a cake the Sunbeams helped decorate.
We all picked at it, but I think the twins took the biggest dip into the cake.
The twins had a great time playing with someone YOUNGER than them!

Jackson is all about playing with balls.
I suppose we will have to get him some.
Elizabeth made hats for ALL of her kids too.
So we took some pics with them all in their hats.

Look at all those AMAZING hats.
Elizabeth has some SERIOUS talent!
In the afternoon we went to a PARK!
Yep, you heard me right, we went to a PARK!
December 31st, we were playing outside at a park.
It was such a fun park too.
The kids had a great time and we were able to get out of the house for a bit.

Logan helping out with feeding Jackson.
So, I was sitting there watching Logan tap his foot on top of Nolan (his twin)
Shortly after Logan was doing this, he turned to everyone and said...
"Nolan AWAKe!"
I wonder why Nolan woke up!
Uh oh...someone found the tub of fudge.
And boy did they love it.
We played a few round of Tellestrations with everyone.
Samantha wrote this....
So I drew this....
And Zach wrote this....
gotta love the game Telestrations.
Zach just couldn't make it to midnight.
He was so close.
I think this was at about 11:30.
Maybe next year.
At midnight we made sure to have our Sparkling Cider.
Jackson woke up to have his midnight snack to bring in the New Year.
The kids had their Sparkling Cider....but looking at this picture it almost seems there was something more in the drink.
They were just soooo excited to be able to stay up soooo late!

It was a great day at the Hillman household.
We sure did have a great time bringing in the New Year.
It was a great 2011 and we are looking forward to a wonderful 2012!
