We went to a Home and Garden Show on Saturday. There were some cool things there. I am starting this blog off with the I WANT section....these are all of the things that...

I WANT

Can we just say, this is dang cool!
It just puts a whole new look into your
Home Stereo System.
The control panel also controls your
LIGHTS and CURTAINS!
Basically anything electronic.

Those curtains open and close with a touch of a button!Why wouldn't I want this.
Hello...all friends can come over and hang out in our hot tub...
When we get this of course!

This is such a Ty Pennigton thing to do!
He does it in almost all of his homes that he designs.
But, really I don't need this, I think it just looks cool.
Andrew and I like watching EVERYTHING together!

How relaxing would this be in our backyard?
We might need to wait until we move from Ashton,
so we can use it for more than just three months of the year!

Again! RELAXING.Wouldn't this guy be so dang cute in my "garden"
Just shows I am CRAZY!

Done with the I WANT section. Now for the What we did the whole day Section!
This is where I show what we did the WHOLE day!

Looking at counter top colors I saw these....
Really? Do people REALLY use these colors in their kitchen?

We went by the Pest Control Booth.
I eyed the Chocolate Chip Cookies,
Seeing how I am a Chocolate Junkie now.
As we got closer, I noticed there was something more
than just chocolate in these cookies.
Each one was topped with a CRICKET.
Don't worry, they are not the ones that were sprayed.
She picked them up from the Pet Store and roasted them all night.
(She was really excited when she told us this.)

Andrew ate his in a JIFFY!Me on the other hand.
I now know why I can never be on FEAR FACTOR.
It took Kate and I a bit longer to eat ours.

Chocolate chip cookies are NOT suppose to be CRUNCHY!!

Kate just couldn't swallow it. She had to spit it out.

Do you see the cricket in the top right corner?
The grosser part of it all was finding a bit of cricket in between my teeth ten minutes later!
But at least I can say,
I HAVE EATEN A CRICKET!
Gross!

These next pictures, should have been in the I WANT section, but I decided not to do that!
I thought Andrew would get a bit upset!
But let's just be honest for a second...

TY PENNINGTON IS HOT!

Unfortunately he wasn't really there.
Kate and I had to deal with just the posters.
Lucky for me,
I REALLY HAVE MET HIM!
I will have to dig that picture up and post it on here.
The day that I met him, my friend and I spoke to him in a British Accent
He thinks I am from England.
I am pretty sure if I were to meat him again
He would remember that!

We got suckered into a cooking show.
We were just so hungry, and they were giving away salad!
This should also go in the I WANT section.
That veggie cutter thing was so cool!
But so DANG expensive!
The show was good for the first 30 minutes.
But then it went another hour!
The cookware they were trying to sell.....
EXPENSIVE!
But don't worry, everyone can "afford" it.
They have LAYAWAY and ACCEPT ALL CREDIT CARDS!

The good thing was we got free food.
That was really good.
A free cutting board.
A free knife and a free measuring spoon.

My in-laws think it is crazy that I see someone I know
EVERYWHERE!
They were actually surprised I didn't see someone at Brian Regan the night before.
I could have!
One of my students from a couple years ago was there with his dad!
I just didn't see them!

This guy is British! We stopped to listen to him.
Then we ended up getting his little veggie cutter device.
Thanks Mom!



It was a great day! We enjoyed ourselves.
Saw some cool things and walked a LOT!
If only we had endless amounts of money
to buy so many of this things that were there!

Oh well...we have all we need in life...

Sushi, Village Inn Pie, BRIAN REGAN. Can Life get better than this, I SUBMIT THAT IT CANNOT!!!

Andrew and I decided it was about time Mom and Dad Walker were introduced to
BRIAN REGAN
The first time I introduced Andrew to him we were driving home from Oklahoma City and Andrew had to pull over because he was laughing too hard. Brian is just tooooo funny. Tonight, he did not let us down. But first we had to have some food to give us enough energy to laugh our minds off!

Mom and Dad took us to a Sushi restaurant.
Good thing Richie use to work at Sushi Chi, so I could come to love this stuff.
This was a great restaurant. It is one of those really good holes in the wall.
Thanks for Dinner!

Then off to dessert. We went to Village Inn to get some pie. Dad was shocked and a little dissapointed that his cherry pie did not look like the one pictured.

This was a really cool sculpture outside of the theater. It was all blown glass.
I am so excited. We are about to go see BRIAN REGAN!

Here is a picture from our seats. It didn't really come out very well. But, oh my it was such a funny night. Here are some of our favorite skits....You should get ready to hear them because they recorded a LIVE CD! Maybe you can pick out our laughs!

Texas Independence Day Party

If you know Margie, you know that one of her favorite holidays is Texas Independence Day. She has celebrated this holiday in many different states -- TEXAS, Ohio, Utah, and now...IDAHO!

It is time for the Texas Party!
It was great with all of our Idaho friends.
Good thing they were good sports.
Otherwise we would have had to
kick them out!

This is the Texas Jeopardy board!

We had Texas Trivia posted around the room.
It is never bad to know about Texas!

But oh man was that room was pretty smelly at the end of the night.

We loved having this party. It was so great to have all of our friends there. It was amazing food and great company! We can't wait until next year for the next Texas Independence Day party in Idaho! Thanks everyone for coming!

Beautiful Idaho

My fourth grade class went on a
cross-country skiing trip!
It is part of the PE program.
They go every Thursday in a field behind the school...
But this Thursday was special...
This Thursday we loaded the bus with our
skis, poles, and boots on our feet.
Off we went to Herriman State Park!
This was my first time there and it was gorgeous!
I snapped some pics with our
small camera during the trip!
They came out pretty good,
seeing how I couldn't see what
I was taking a picture of.

During our lunch break we spent some time DOWNHILL skiing.
I went down twice and didn't fall once!

Right around this corner is where
I fell for the first and only time.

It was a perfect fall. I was coming down a slight hill.
All the fourth graders were standing
there waiting for everyone to catch up.
Mr. Angell made sure everyone was watching.
Down I went! Applause from the crowd.
It was a fall of beauty!

It was a gorgeous day out!
In fact I was skiing in a short sleeved shirt.
I have come to LOVE Cross Country Skiing.
It is great exercise.
It is also a great opportunity to enjoy NATURE.
I love this Earth that Heavenly Father created for me to enjoy.
It is awe inspiring.
It is beyond breath taking.

All I wanted to do was make French Toast...

This is what my husband saw when he first walked in this evening. Me! Laying on the floor, my finger elevated and trying to get my dang phone to charge (there were also some tears)...needless to say there is quite a story to this ending!


My afternoon consisted of going to a meeting for the upcoming play here in town. As I was walking home from the High School, I thought that it would be great to have some French Toast for dinner tonight! I could even use the bread I made on Sunday in my bread machine. It would be delicious. As soon as I got home, I went to work. After all, Andrew would be home soon after a long day at school and it would be nice to come home to a warm meal. If only that was what he really came home too.

Instead, this is what happened. I was cutting the bread in perfect slices thanks to our "wonderful" Cutco knives. I stop here for a second to explain...I love our Cutco knives, I really do, but there has been many a tragedy because of these dang knives. Here is one to add to the list.

As I was cutting the LAST piece of bread, SLICE, off goes the tip of my ring finger with it. It did not even hurt, but oh man the sight of all of that blood oozing out of my finger is not what I wanted to see. I quickly went to the sink and started running water over it and then I put pressure on it with a paper towel. It took every bit of energy inside of me to NOT faint. I then ran to my bag at the front of the house to get my phone....after emptying out my back five times, I realized my PHONE is NOT in my bag...which means, I left it at the High School. With my finger wrapped up, I tromped back outside and walked back to the school. The paper towel was getting pretty red by this time. When I got to the school, I found the first custodian that I could to open the Choir room for me. Of course I picked the one that didn't have his keys on him. He had to go OUTSIDE to his car to get the keys. Meanwhile I feel like I am about to lose every bit of blood from my body from the tip of my finger.

Finally, he opened the door, and there was my phone. As soon as I started walking back to the house, I called Andrew. DEAD! The phone DIED! There was no way for me to call Andrew. None! I walked home and found my cord from my bag that I had emptied all over the floor....let me remind you I am doing all of this while BLOOD is still pouring out of my finger. Plugged in the cord, plugged in my phone, NOTHING! It does not charge. You have got to be kidding me! I tried again, NOTHING! It had been about twenty minutes by this point...still bleeding. I have no phone, I am in pain, and I am starting to worry my finger is going to bleed to nothing. I kept trying to get my phone to charge...NOTHING!! Frustration sets in.

I then decided to go to the internet and look up about uncontrollable bleeding. Gotta love WebMD. Elevate the sore above your head. Of course! I then laid on the floor, elevated my hand and continued to try to get my phone to charge. That is where Andrew found me. I was laying there for a good 40 minutes before he came home.

Within that time, I had "tweeted" thinking the text would be sent to Andrew's phone. It wasn't. I got up a couple of times to try different outlets for my phone, NOTHING. I thought that maybe I should go to the neighbors for help. I prayed for a miracle.

Finally Andrew came home. Helped me up. Bandaged up my finger and
made the French Toast.

Everything was so much better when he got home!

I had no idea that much blood could come from a FINGER!

Nice huh? That is the piece of skin taken from my finger. We are so gross to post this.Still elevating the finger as I talk on the phone to Morgan!

(The saddest part of all of this...I was thinking about this blog the entire time this whole tragedy was happening)
