Survived Week Two

Can you believe I am already TWO weeks old?
It has been another great week.
I just have such a wonderful life!
(Even though it looks like I am really upset in the picture above)
Well, wouldn't you be upset if you were put on the ground when you were trying to sleep.  Maybe one of these days my mommy and daddy will learn and take pictures when I am happy!
Well, just like week one, I have been sleeping quite a bit!
My hands stay in fist quite a bit.
I am just so happy and content.
Remember how my first outing was to the Wal-Mart Visitor Center...
Well can you believe that my SECOND outing was to an ACTUAL WAL-MART!
Is there anything else to life than Wal-Mart?
I wasn't quite sure about the vibrating of this cart.
I was much happier when we got to a smooth surface inside of the store.
I also got to take a SPONGE bath.
I sure did cry during that experience.
When it was all said and done, though, I felt so clean and warm.
Ah man, how I LOVE this blanket my Nana made for me.  It is so soft and warm!  It will be so nice to sleep in when we go back to Ashton.  I hear it is quite cold there during the winters.
We went for my second Drs Appointment.
Mommy was so proud of me, because I gained weight.  I was 6 lbs and 11 oz last visit.
This time I was 7 lbs and 2 oz. I am just 6 oz away from my birth weight and 6 days to get there.
That made Mommy really happy.
My umbilical cord came off today and my circumcision is looking really good too.
I am such a great son!!!!
I think it is pretty cool that my Doctor's last name is my Uncle's first name.
Harvey...who would've thought?
This is me practicing to take over Shawn Spencer's role on the Tv show Pysch.
Mommy and Daddy love that show and I just want to make them proud!
I have loved spending time with Dja-Dja and Gramma.
I can just tell how much they LOVE me!
Gramma and I had a fun time playing on the floor.
 Saturday was my first bath.
Whoa...not sure I liked that experience very much.
But, again, when all was said and done, I loved feeling clean.
Don't you just love my little towel/boxer outfit.
Saturday was also the day I had to say good-bye to Dja-Dja and Gramma.
I will sure miss them.
Mommy will miss them a lot.
It has been so fun to have them here.
I know they have helped out Mommy a bunch.
I sure do love them and can't wait to see them again.
My Mommy is so silly to think this was ok to take a picture of!
This week, I am much more alert.
I like to hang out in this vibrating chair.
Mommy and I have also been doing some tummy time during the day.
I don't last too long, but I will get better.
How do you like my "Sun Chair"
I was just hanging out while Daddy and Mommy made dinner.
Ain't I just so cute.
Sunday night Mommy and Daddy went and saw some fireworks.
I didn't see any of them, because I was sleeping.
But, Mommy and Daddy said it was really cool to be at the top of the hill and see 20+ firework shows going on.  What a way to celebrate the 4th a night early!
Look at me here...I am helping my Daddy read his scriptures.
I am just the best son ever.
The next 8 pictures were actually taken of me when I was TWO days old.  They were taken in the hospital and Mommy just wanted to share them with everyone.
Most likely because I am so handsome.

Well, one more week down.
Come the first day of the third week it will just be Mommy and I at home during the day.  Everyone has gone home and Daddy is going to work.  We will be fine. I can't wait to have Mommy - Jackson time.

TAKING THE CORPORATE JET OUT

Andrew is really enjoying his internship. He was able to go on a trip to Detroit with some of his coworkers. And to get there they just hopped in one of the private jets.
It's a rough life he is leading. He arrived at the airport at 6:15am and the flight took off at 6:30am. It is so much better when you don't have to go through security and when you drive right up to the plane.
Just another reason to love working for Walmart!

Photo Shoot with Jessica

My friend Jessica wanted to take pics of Jackson, and I of course said...YES!!  Here are just a few of the pics she took.  She is sending some more later!  I just love this little boy!

One Week and Loving Life

(Written from Jackson's point of view)
I am ONE WEEK old today.
Mommy took a picture on of me on my wonderful quilt.
I sure am small!
Here is a brief overview of some things that have happened in my first week.
Make sure to look back on older blogs for some other pictures of my first week.
I have actually been doing a bunch of sleeping!
Mommy loves it, because I sleep through the day and I even sleep through the night...
Well, pretty much.  I do wake up to eat, but then I go RIGHT back to sleep!
I guess you could say, I AM A PERFECT BABY!
Look at all the pictures Mommy has taken of me sleeping!
You can tell that is what I do A LOT!

I think I was dreaming about playing the piano here.
Sometimes I get to sleep with Daddy.
I also love to sleep with Gramma and Dja-Dja.
Oh, and of course I absolutely LOVE sleeping with Mommy!
This time when I was sleeping Mommy and Daddy went off to Wal-Mart with out me.
Gramma and Dja-Dja watched over me and really I just slept the whole time they were gone.
It sure was hard for Mommy to leave me.  It was her first time away from me and she did not like it one bit.  She was very happy when she came home and found me in the same position sleeping the day away.  Again, I am just such a wonderful baby!
Every once in awhile Mommy catches me sleeping like this.  I guess I am not quite use to all the SPACE I have around me.

One day I tried to pat my head and rub my belly, while I was sleeping.
I just couldn't do it, not yet!
On Sunday, Mommy & Daddy went to church while I stayed home with Gramma.  They did dress me up in my Sunday outfit for the day. That way I would remember to be reverent.  I did  really good job for my first Sunday being alive!
Here's a better look at my Sunday outfit.
Mommy made it for me.
I love her so much!
 Look at silly Dja-Dja.
He forgot his Sunday shoes in San Antonio, so he had to wear his tennis shoes.
I love him!
On Sunday I even got to talk to my Nana and PopPop.
They are in Utah.
I get to meet them in person in August.
I can't wait!
 Here's me sleeping some more.
It is what I do best!

On Monday, Gramma, Dja-Dja, Mommy and Daddy decided to take an outing.
I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for such things.
I really had to think about this.
When all was said and done, I really enjoyed myself and it was nice to get out of the apartment and see more of the world that is around me.
I really don't like to sleep in my car seat.
I really like to be awake and alert.
I like to see what is going on.
They took me to the Wal-Mart Visitor Center.
Daddy is an intern at Wal-Mart and he loves it.
I did really good.
They tried to put a blanket over my seat so I could be protected from any germs floating around, but I didn't like that very much.
Again, I like to see what is going on!
This is Sam Walton's truck.
I am glad they took me to see where Wal-Mart started out.
Gramma bought me this cool shirt that I will be able to wear in a year.
It will help me remember my first outing with the family.
Look!  It's Gramma and Dja-Dja!
Oh and don't forget about Mommy!
Yay!  It's my Daddy and Mommy!
They sure do love me so much and I love them.
Well, I guess the outing wasn't all that bad.
I am ready to go home though.
I got some more sleeping to do.
I'll turn the time over to Mommy now to let you know what else I did this week and to tell ya how she is doing.  I know that my mom is amazing.  Glad she's my mom and my dad is my dad!

Hey everyone!  I am doing great.  I am still in a little bit of pain. Luckily, I have my pain medicine though.  Jackson truly is an amazing baby.  He pretty much sleeps all the time and wakes up every 2-4 hours when he is hungry.  Even at night, he eats and goes right back to sleep.
He doesn't really cry too much, just when I am taking to long to pick him up because he is hungry.  It has been absolutely WONDERFUL to have my mom and dad here to help out.  Mom has been making dinner each night and they both spend quite sometime holding and hugging on Jackson.  This way I have been able to get some sleep.  They even put him to sleep at night, so that I can go to bed early.
What am I going to when they go back to San Antonio.
Hopefully, I will be able to survive.

I absolutely LOVE our little Jackson.
