Be Positive Cupcakes

February's Pack Meeting for Scouts was all about Being Positive.
I was in charge of refreshments.
I wanted to make it fun for the boys.
So...I made cupcakes...
Piped some homemade yellow frosting on 'em....
Put some on a tray and frosted on a smiley face....
All of the extras got a fun cupcake topper that I made...
Telling the boys to BE POSITIVE!!!
The boys loved them...and ate every single one.
So glad I was able to make it fun for them.
As one of the boys said when we opened the kitchen door...
"WOW!  That is AWESOME!"

SaltCon 2012

The weekend of Feb. 17 & 18th was SaltCon.
Our friends the Schauerhamers went last year and sold Karnaxis.
They said it was AWESOME and we decided than that we would be there the next year...
The Next year has come and we were THERE!

It was from 10 AM on Friday ALL the way until MIDNIGHT on Saturday...
YOU COULD STAY ALL NIGHT and play games if you wanted to!
Which we didn't...we left at about 10PM Friday went to Chili's with the Schauerhamers and then were back bright and early at 10AM Saturday AM!

It really was AWESOME!
Two rooms full of tables where you can and should play games.
 They had a GAME LIBRARY.
Stacked full of games that you could check out and play!
If you didn't know how to play, you could put a sign that said you needed the game explained.
If you needed more people to play, you put up a sign that said Players Wanted.
We played with so many people we didn't know...it was AWESOME!
You just sat down at a game and played.
MAN...there just wasn't ENOUGH time to play ALL the games we wanted to play.

But we did get our GAME ON!
We played a TON!
Most of the games we played, we saw other people playing them and made sure to get when they were done.  If we didn't know the name of the game, we just explained it to the guy working in the Library and he knew exactly what we were talking about.

At one point I didn't quite know what game to play, so I just asked the guy what would be a fun game.  After that every time I came up, he said..."I have the PERFECT game for YOU!"
It was like he knew me and we were friends.
I felt so special!!!!

I didn't get too many pictures because I was too busy playing GAMES!
We entered many Tournaments...didn't win ANY!
We just had a ton of fun!

Our favorite games...

Masters of Commerce
Tumblin' Dice
Dice Town
Any of the Out of the Box Games:
Pirate Vs. Pirate
Shake N' Take
The 10 Days games
Word on the Street
7 ate 9
Spot It
Karnaxis

So forth and so ON!!!!

We met some really cool people!
Two of our faves...Melissa and Jon.
Saturday they played almost every single game with us.
Friday night John was in the Karnaxis tournament and he was the character of Margie.
We had an immediate bond!
We wish we lived closer to them, because they would be our gaming friends!
Jackson did really well the WHOLE time.
In fact we got SOO many compliments about how AWESOME our baby was.
They were shocked he was so well mannered.

(I Love the above picture of his foot hanging out!)
He spent a lot of the time in his stroller.
It was his first time sitting in it like this.
Usually he is in his car seat on the top part.
He loved sitting like this.
The tray was perfect for all of this food.
He drank his bottles...
AND he slept so well!
What a perfect baby we have!

Saturday night the people next to the Karnaxis booth left so we turned their table into a cage for Jackson.  He loved being back there and being able to move around and play.
This was after he ran into a soda that was on the floor and got COKE all over him.
That is when we decided he needed to be locked in!!!

All in all it was an AWESOME weekend.
We had so much fun with the Schauerhamers, Mom and Dad Walker, and everyone that we met there. It was a blast.  We walked out of there with MANY new games that we bought for a killer price and a new LOVE for board games!  Hopefully wherever we move to next year will have a Game convention and we can go Game it UP again!

A Day of Sledding Fun

Feb. 15th was a day of Sledding Fun.
Our friend Britney has a PERFECT sledding hill right in front of her house.
She also has a PERFECT sled for our little Jackson.
We bought him a snow suit, put on his awesome hat Elizabeth made for him...
and headed out for the fun!
At first I just pulled him around on the street...
then we hooked him up to a four wheeler and pulled him on that.
Then we took him up the hill...
BUT did NOT send him down the hill...
He is still TOO young for that.
But boy did he love being outside with all of his friends...
So much that he decided to take a nap!
See...he can sleep ANYWHERE!

Man...this was an absolute BEAUTIFUL day.
A perfect day for sledding.
It wasn't too cold...
The sun was shining...
And the Snow was PERFECT!

After all the fun sledding, I got to take the SnowMachine out for a ride.
I did a pretty awesome JUMP.
Too bad we didn't get a picture of that.
Everyone watching was pretty scared and were wondering if I forgot that I was pregnant.
Luckily, every thing was OK...and I had a great time!

Thanks Britney for letting us come out for the fun!

Toy Box Fun

 (Feb. 15th)
For the last couple of days, Jackson has had a GREAT time INSIDE of his toy box.
He gets in and out of with great ease. He will go in and play for 30 minutes at a time.
He will throw all of his toys out and then he is ready to get out...which he does on his own...and plays with his toys on the OUTSIDE of his box.
HE LOVES HIS NEW PLACE TO PLAY!

Happy Valentine's Day

Jackson got a fun letter in the mail today!
It was from his Aunt Kati!
 A Valentine's Card!
He loved "READING" it.
He also loved EATING it!
"I love you Aunt Kati!  Thanks for the awesome card!"
Love, Jackson

Thank you Kati for thinking of Jackson and sending him a Valentine's Day card.  It will be really fun to look forward to those each year.  You are one AWESOME Aunt!!!

Eating, Making Messes, Sleeping & B-ball

Today I thought it would be fun to give Jackson the chance to feed himself his sweet potatoes.  It was amazing.  It ended just the way I thought it would, and I loved it!
Not sure he got any of them in his mouth, but man he had a blast playing with them.
This picture doesn't even show how BAD the mess actually was.
Oh goodness...so fun!
Jackson loves taking things out of bags, boxes, or anything that has stuff in it.
Here you can see how much he has taken out of the diaper bag.
In fact if you look closely you can see how he is stepping on the bag to get up higher to get to the paper that is on the piano bench.
Oh what Mom?  Am I doing something wrong?
You didn't want me playing with this stuff?
Such an innocent little boy here....right?
On Feb. 4th we put Jackson in his bouncer so that we could clean up the house.  His bouncer makes noise every time he bounces.  At one moment the music stopped and I wondered what was going on.  I looked in the room and this is what I found...
Jackson ASLEEP!
He slept like this for a good thirty minutes.
He must have been SOOOO tired.
That night we went to the District B-Ball game.
If the girls won this game they would be going to State.
It was a pretty INTENSE game and we walked out of there with a WIN!
Our girls were going to STATE!
Congrats!  You played well!
And of course...Jackson slept through most of the game.
He can sleep anywhere.
He is his Father's son for sure!

Butterfy Trail Mix

The first week of February I was going to go to a Mommy Play Date where we were going to talk about nutrition. We were suppose to bring a FUN NUTRITIONAL Snack.  These were what I came up with. Little butterfly trail mix packets.  It is really easy.  I just bought the trail mix, put them in the ziploc bags.  I put a clothespin that I had decoupaged with some scrapbook paper and added a pipe cleaner for the antenna.  I could have put on some small googly eyes, but I didn't have any, so I didn't.  You still get the point that they are butterflies.

Another Sleeping Time with Dad

After church today Daddy and Jackson took a Sunday afternoon nap.
But I thought the hand holding was the most precious thing EVER!!!

My two favorite boys!
Love them!
