Jackson's 2nd Birthday

Do I really have a TWO year old?!?!
I can't believe he is getting so big!
Jackson's birthday was kinda celebrated over many days this year!
We had BLUEBERRY pancakes on our special plate. I watched him very carefully seeing how the plate is breakable!
 He ate it all up!
That day Sonic was having their shakes half off all day!
You better believe we took a walk down there.
I ordered a LARGE.
I had no idea HOW LARGE it was going to be!
It was huge.
Good thing we were sharing it between the three of us.
 Jackson loved it....
And Sammy loved getting it all over him!
I could not believe how MESSY he was!
Oh my!
That afternoon we checked the mail and he got some cards.!
One from Grammy and one from Nana and PopPop!
The next day his present from Nana and PopPop came in the mail.
A WATER TABLE!
We were going to wait until we moved into our house the next week to open it....

BUT the boys (or me) couldn't wait!

Oh my they had so much fun!

A couple days later we went to the Garners.
They were going to be leaving the next day for Utah, so we went up to say, "Have a NICE trip!" Get their keys and celebrate Jackson's birthday with his cousins.

They gave Jackson these really cool Lightning McQueen slippers.
Jackson abosolutely LOVES Lightning McQueen!
Every car to him is "LIGHT"
And the red ones are "QUEEN"
Such the perfect present.
What a fun day for Jackson.

We are heading to San Antonio in July to celebrate Jackson's birthday with my mom and dad and some of his Aunts and Uncles.  Can't wait for that trip! They are all excited to see him down there!

Still can't believe I have a TWO year old!

4th of July

We had a very fun filled 4th of July this year!
First thing we went to our ward's 4th of July pancake breakfast.
That was awesome. It gave us the much needed fuel for the tasks that we had ahead of us!
Sammy had a great time playing with his friends...
There was a BIKE PARADE and the primary kids could decorate their bikes there at the breakfast.  Jackson was very upset that we did not bring his bike. and to be honest, so were we!  Next year!  We will be more prepared, next year.
He did get a festive flag put on him and he walked in the parade.

Did I mention that Gramma was with us!  Yay!  It was so great having her here.
After the parade they dished out SHAVED ICE!
Yummy. If there is one thing Jackson loves it is SNOW CONES!
He was doing pretty good at the beginning eating his.
 Sammy loved sharing with Dad!
Jackson stated getting a little messy!
It was ALL over him!
And Sammy had enough with the sharing.
He wanted one of his very own!

 Family shot!
After the breakfast we had a ton of people meet at our apartment and pack up two trucks and a trailor.  Not the ideal situation to move out of your apartment on the 4th of July, but everyone was off work and not really doing much AFTER the breakfast, so off we went to pack everything up!
It went really fast.
It took an hour and a half to pack up the trucks and empty out the entire apartment and then move it into our house.  Awesome. My mom stayed back at the house and watched the boys and she was amazed that it didn't take very long at all.
I meant to take pictures of all the unpacking we had to do, but I never got around to it!  We had everyone just dump everything in the front room....my craft room!  My goal that day was to get the kitchen unpacked and the front room pretty much unpacked...well at least get things to the right room that they needed to be in.  And I will say, with a ton of work...We made it happen!  Good thing Mom was here. She helped out A TON! It was fun having Harvey come celebrate with us too!
 Sammy being a good helper!
Is this where you want me Dad?
We took a break around 5 and got dinner all ready!
WE GOT TO GRILL!!!!!!
We were so excited to use our grill again.  It had been sitting out on our balcony at the apartment longing to be used.  So happy we get to use it again.
We had a great 4th of July feast.
Hot Dogs, strawberry banana salad, cucumber and tomato salad, chips,  and yummy watermelon!
That table doesn't look too bad for just moving in huh?
We really got so much done that 4th of July!

Sammy of course loved every bite of it.
After dinner we went out back and had some snow cones!
Another thing that had been buried away at the apartment---OUR SNOW CONE MACHINE!
So happy to be able to use this bad boy again!

While we were back there we discovered a HUGE wasp nest.
We took care of it that night!

Then we headed to Valley Ridge Mall's parking lot for fireworks!

It was great fun!
It was such a busy day!
We worked so hard.
I was really happy to have my mom here to help us and to see our new HOME!
It was great to have Harvey join us for the day.
We are glad that we are so close to him and we get to see him often.
We are so excited to be in a house and out of the apartment.
Such a great day!

Really Big Water Slide

 (6-19-2013)
One day this summer, a girl in our ward rented out this huge water slide. We all pitched in some mula and had a GREAT day in the sun!  It was AWESOME!

There was a little kiddie pool for the littles!
Which Sammy and Jackson really got a kick out of!

It even had a slide they could go down!

We brought our lunch and chowed down!

At one point some of the bigger kids would run from the fence to the back of the slide and bounce off of it.  Jackson thought that was the coolest idea, so he joined in the fun!
 He really loved it.
Jackson and I even went DOWN the slide a couple times.
It was really funny, because the whole way up the ladder he would be saying, No Mommy, No Mommy, No Mommy No!  And we would get to the top and he would still be saying it, but when we went down the slide he laughed and giggled the whole way down.  When we got to the bottom he would say, AGAIN! AGAIN! And then we would start the whole process over again!
Jackson also thought all the food and drinks people brought were fair game! So I would find him throughout the day sitting in the baby pool with someone else's drink or food.
You see all that brown stuff...yeah, that was COKE!  He had poured it out into the pool and then was just sitting in it.  Love him!
Here he is chowing down on a McNugget!
 Again...another McNugget!
 And then someone's Sprite!
Just chillin under the tree drinking some Sprite!
It was a really fun day!  We were there for quite sometime.
It was such a fun idea and we loved every second of it!
Can't wait till we do it again!
