Update on our Lives

Well even though we can't post pictures on here, does not mean we can't update you on what is going on...

We got back from our first Road Trip of the summer two weeks ago.

We went to the Pacific Northwest.  Margie got FOUR more capitols to add to her list...which makes a total of THIRTY-SIX capitols.  She only has FOURTEEN more!

Some of our favorite things from the trip....

Seeing the sunset over the Pacific Ocean
Kite Flying on the Beach
The Kite Museum in Long Beach
Leavenworth, WA - A cute German Town nestled in the mountains.
Nutcracker Museum
Listening to Hunger Games in the Car
Harbor Tour of the Pugent Sound
Pikes Market in Seattle
Hot tubs in Hotels and Resorts

and of course...TRAVELING with MOM and DAD WALKER!

Once we got back from that trip it was time to finish planning Morgan and my birthday party!  It was a SURVIVOR theme...and let's just say IT WAS AWESOME!  Morgan does such a good job with planning parties and I do a good job supporting her ideas.  So it worked out perfectly.  Everyone who came just had a blast...we had them build fires, eat disgusting things, water race, find things being blindfolded, and a fun relay race.  Best birthday ever

Andrew and I also celebrated TWO years of Marriage!  Cute huh?  We sure do love eachother!

It is hard to believe that the summer is half way over.  Good thing the fun isn't though!

Margie is leaving for Girls Camp tomorrow and then it is the 4th of July where Andrew's Dad is the Entertainment in the park and then TEXAS!

Maybe someday we will be able to put pictures on here again!
Until then just find us on Facebook.

Help! Help! Help!

We are in trouble....we can't upload pictures to our blog?  It won't let us!  It is saying the Server is rejecting the pictures.  Anyone know what we can do?  We would love to share with you our trip, but as of right now, we can't share ANYTHING!!  Sadness has hit my heart!

My New Watering Can

Ever since we put in our new landscaping, I have wanted a watering can. It just makes me feel more like a cute little gardener. However, I didn't just want any 'ole watering can. I wanted a CUTE, PRECIOUS watering can. Andrew and I searched for weeks upon weeks and came up empty! I really do not know how many stores we went to. All of the stores had watering cans that looked like this......

Or like this....
Finally, one beautiful day we were shopping at Ace Hardware to help our friend Morgan pick out some paint for her home, and Andrew happened upon MY watering can! He came around the corner into the painting section holding the most perfect watering can!! I fell in love at once! It is just so cute, and so MARGIE! It is exactly what I was looking for! My husband knows me and he knows what I love. I love him and my new watering can! Thanks Andrew for finding it for me!
Isn't it just so cute!!

Pinewood Derby Fun!

Our ward had a Open Mod Pidewood Derby!!  Anything goes!

Margie was in charge of the brackets.  Good thing she watches March Madness!

Here is Margie's car.  The Texas one of course.  It is going up against Big Bertha....Morgan's car.  Neither one of us won, because neither one of us crossed the finishing line!!!

My poor car.  It had a hard day!

Andrew's car was in the category of ROCKET ENGINES!  His is the red and white striped car.  Pretty good looking..

Cute Margie!!  She picked out a pink car as her winning prize.
On your mark, get set, GO!!!!!

Poor Andrew's car!  It has seen better days....

Those are all of the pieces that we actually found!  We still have no idea where the rocket engine went off to!
And the winner is.....ANDREW!!!  His car was the fastest there is....traveling at 1.8 seconds!  I am just so proud of him!  Next year our plan is to win the rocket one and the real track race!!  We will start planning NOW!
There are our cars!!  Man, they have seen better days!
We had a blast at the pinewood derby!  We have such a great ward!

Memorial Day Weekend

Our weekend started out at the Fisherman's Breakfast.  It is a breakfast that they do in St. Anthony to start out the fishing season!  We ate pancakes and sausage.  It made us just a little sick, so we most likely will not be going back next year...sorry St. Anthony.  It was fun though!

Andrew's parents came up for the weekend and we really wanted to go fishing.  The Schauerhamers told us we could go on their land, so we went out for the adventure of a lifetime.  It was raining all weekend so it was not ideal fishing weather.  But, Andrew and his dad really wanted to go, so we headed out.  We had to drive down this field and on our way back...WE GOT STUCK!!!!  Ooops!  It was so "fun" getting ourselves out of it!  We didn't even get to fish!

Later in the day it stopped raining so we decided to go out again.  This time we stopped at the end of the field and walked down the trail!

We didn't catch much....but some STICKS!

Dad Walker and my fishing line got stuck on each others!

Then on Monday we had a BBQ for our friends and family.  It was too much fun!
These girls just LOVE our hammock!
We got to play croquet. That was fun

Dad Walker's fork melted when he used it to flip the chicken on the grill!

We played a game and our ball went into the neighbor's yard.  She was the perfect ball retriever!
At the end of the day we brought out the SNOW CONES!  Yum!  Yum!

It was such a great day!  Thank you to all of our friends who came to celebrate Memorial Day with us!!!!

Fire in the Backyard!

It is that time of year to do backyard fires in our fire pit!
The Schauerhamers came over and we roasted some marshmallows!
In this here picture you will see our friend, Morgan...AKA...Satan all covered in FLAMES!

The girls lovin' the fire and the CHOCOLATE CHIPS we put INSIDE of the marshmallows! They got so sticky and so did everything else around them.

The girls and Andrew enjoying the hammock!!
Some people aren't happy when a good time has to come to an end....but alas all things do have to come to an end!  But, no worries there will be more BBQs in the near future!

FRONT YARD LANDSCAPING

Before

After

We purchased a new hose holder for the side of the house but first Andrew had to untangle the mess.
We can now easily water the new landscape. But we have to plant it first.
We bought a tree and some bushes (roses and this other bush thing) and a bunch of seed. We'll see if any of these seeds spring up and bloom. We sure hope they do.
Andrew did a great job of marking out the area and we worked hard to dig it up, add edging and prepare it for plants. We learned quickly that we have really good soil! Hopefully that means lush and healthy plants!

We did run into a few roots that we had to tear out. Fortunately they were dead and came up easily.
Margie worked hard to level the dirt.
Andrew planting one of our wild rose bushes. They are supposed to bloom small pink roses all over. Cross your fingers that our plants will actually bloom.
Andrew planting the yellow flowering bush under the window.
Margie is planting pretty flowers around our new tree. Hopefully everything blooms and grows. We are so afraid everything will die. We are not green thumbs and this is all new for us. So we'll water it all and pray that something blooms!!
