Margie absolutely LOVES Christmas. LOVES Christmas. She has many, many boxes of Christmas stuff. This year, we didn't put everything out. We decided to keep all of the Christmas dishes packed up. Here are a few pictures of our cute home. We just love it. Right in the middle of taking pictures the camera battery died, and by the time the battery charged we never got back to taking more pics. But, these will do and when we get back to Idaho after Christmas we will take more pictures. 
One of the traditions in Margie's family is they always put up the same ornament first each year. Each kid had their own "first" ornament. Once they have decorated their whole home, they come and put the ornaments on the tree. The tree is always the last thing. So, we have picked out our "first" ornament. It is the ornament that Margie's mom gave us last year, our first Christmas together. It is a fun ornament of a back window of a car (because we love to travel and take road trips) that we were able to put a picture of us inside (because we love to take pictures). It fits us so perfectly! So, here we are, putting up the first ornament on the tree.

Andrew surprised Margie one day. He came to pick her up from work and when they turned the corner, the lights were put up on the outside of the house. It looked so wonderful. He really wanted to do more lights, and we have the lights to do it, but we are going to be gone for Christmas and with the snow and ice and all that jazz, we opted out of the LIGHT EXTRAVAGANZA this year! Here is our cute tree with all of the lights and ornaments on it. It is only a 6 footer. Margie can not WAIT for the day that we have a huge nice, "Martha Stewart-y" tree in the front living room and then this fun tree in the back family room. That is her goal. It will happen some day! The ornaments on this tree are all from Margie. Her grandma use to send them ornaments each year when she was younger. She still has all of them. Even the first one she got the Christmas of the year of her birth. It is a little disheveled, but she still has it. Now, we are also getting ornaments from both parents. This year they both got us ornament with the theme of our FIRST home! How perfect!
Another thing that Margie loves is the Nativity. She get a new one each year. This is where we decided to display the majority of them this year. There are others sporadically located throughout our home. It just brings a nice feeling to our home to have these displayed.
